Bio-diesel made from food in oil-rich UAEClose
The Middle East is a region where car is king and fuel is low-cost, typically leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually pressed up the cost of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has actually entered sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints in the world, one organization is benefiting from the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil.
