The studio behind acclaimed indie titles such as Jotun, Sundered, and Spiritfarer revealed 33 Immortals as their first multiplayer project in 2023. This ambitious cooperative action game brings together 33 players, and has been undergoing playtests on Xbox platforms for a while. Now, the studio is preparing for its third pre-release event.
This upcoming playtest will open its doors not only to Xbox Insiders, but also to Epic Games Store players for the first time. Additionally, crossplay will be available between the two platforms.
The playtest will run from January 28 at 10 AM EST to February 6, lasting 10 days. The studio is eager to hear feedback, stating, “We’ve worked extra hard on updating and stabilizing the game, so we’re really excited to hear what you think of 33 Immortals.”
There’s no limit to the number of players who can join this playtest, so anyone can participate in a 33-player team and take on the game's challenging god. However, progress made during the event will not carry over to future tests or the final release.
The playtest will be accessible to Xbox Insiders (both PC and console) via the Xbox Insider Hub, as well as to those on the Epic Games Store, starting January 28.
Following a recent delay, 33 Immortals is now expected to launch in 2025. It will initially release as an early access title before the full version 1.0 comes to Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
